Jannette Sánchez-Rodríguez is an Associate at Bryson, Harris, Suciu DeMay.
Based in Puerto Rico, she bringing a wealth of experience across diverse areas of law to her practice. She works alongside Jonathan Cohen and Dan Bryson, focusing on mass tort arbitration while leveraging her extensive background in complex litigation.
Her practice includes significant national and international work. She has collaborated with foreign law firms on environmental law cases and played a role in major litigation, including water contamination cases in Flint, Michigan, and actions against large corporations such as Monsanto, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer.
Jannette’s litigation portfolio encompasses class actions, commercial disputes, defective products (including pharmaceuticals and CPAP devices), employment law, environmental and toxic torts (including asbestos and military water contamination), civil tort and personal injury cases, and state and local government matters involving utility fees, opioids, and pharmaceutical drugs. She also represents clients in family law, administrative claims, corporate law, and criminal defense.
Legal History
Over the course of her career, Jannette has cultivated deep experience across criminal, civil, and administrative matters. She developed her courtroom skills during her clinical practice at the San Juan Court of First Instance, handling criminal cases in Rule 6 proceedings, and at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Puerto Rico, where she supported federal prosecutors in high-stakes criminal, civil, and terrorism-related cases.
At Servicios Legales de Puerto Rico, Jannette worked closely with the Deputy Director on matters spanning environmental, family, property, and civil law, as well as legislative commentary on proposed bills affecting property rights.

She graduated with a double major in human resources and office systems, as well as a specialized curriculum sequence in business communication.
Appointments & Service
In addition to her litigation practice, Jannette draws on her business background to provide consulting services and teaches bar exam review courses with Erga Omnes Law Academy, supporting aspiring attorneys in achieving their professional goals. She also coordinates monthly community legal education programs and serves as an Examinations Officer for the Puerto Rico Housing Department in FEMA-related cases.
Jannette is deeply committed to public service. She has volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Charities, Make-A-Wish, and Voces of Puerto Rico during the COVID-19 vaccination efforts.
Following the earthquakes in Puerto Rico, she organized and delivered over $4,000 in aid within 24 hours to vulnerable elderly populations in underserved areas, directly impacting more than 200 individuals.
Personal Notes
Outside of her professional work, Jannette is a lifelong learner who is passionate about expanding her knowledge. She enjoys spending quality time with her son and partner, running, attending track and field meets, going to the movies, and connecting with friends at social gatherings.
