Mark Silvey

Senior Partner

Mark E. Silvey is a Senior Partner at Bryson Harris Suciu DeMay.

He brings an experienced trial and appellate litigator perspective to the firm. His 38-year career spans the gamut of litigation from both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s perspectives, providing a comprehensive understanding of how cases are originated, researched, initiated, and resolved through either ADR or trial.

Having tried more than one hundred civil cases to verdict, along with dozens of bench trials and appellate arguments gives him formidable knowledge base from which he advocates for clients facing simple or complex legal issues. After two decades of practice in numerous state courts, his current practice involves a primarily federal concentration at both trial and appellate levels.

Personal Notes

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mark splits time between his home in Knoxville and the Bryson office located in Coral Gables, Florida. He is an avid musician, performing, composing, arranging, adjudicating, and teaching concert percussion, marching percussion, and rock/jazz drum set.

He is a voracious reader and book collector, student of traditional Japanese martial arts (aikido and kendo), scale modeler, target shooter, and a frequent flyer with a long list of locations visited and to be visited. These days he most enjoys spending time with family, friends, and three adopted stray cats (who rule his household).
