Markus Kamberger is Senior Counsel at Bryson Harris Suciu DeMay.

Markus joins the firm with an important bench of experience. He was a Reserve Officer for the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Army, and he is a practicing plaintiff’s lawyer with strong wins to his credit.

Legal History

In his plaintiff work for Bryson, Markus handles personal injury, product liability, multi-district and other litigations. He is the attorney who doesn’t back down, including a 26-hour mediation, which resulted in a multi-million-dollar personal injury settlement. He has a breadth of experience working with multiple firms, attorneys and legal staff on complex litigation issues, including some of the country’s largest industry cases. He has drafted corporate legal memoranda for some of the largest companies in the world.

Markus comfortably takes on questions of law through class actions and is an unrelenting pursuer of justice in cases of wrongful death, personal injury and commercial disputes. He has deep investigative skills, honed from his decades-plus military experience, and he consistently delivers top results for his clients.

Judge Advocate General’s Corps

For over 14 years, Markus served as a Reserve JAG Officer, including being the Chief of Justice for the 81st Readiness Division. In addition, he has honorably held positions in the 154th Legal Operations Detachment (Trial Defense Services), 174th Legal Operations Detachment, Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), and the 758th Engineering Company, showcasing his commitment to both the legal profession and his country.

As trial defense counsel, he was a strong and successful advocate for serving military members, in their time of need. He truly defended those who defend America. As an operational law attorney, he advised on legal matters for special operations missions around the world. He became fluent in the proper regulations, federal laws, treaties, international laws and international customary laws for legal justification of U.S. government actions. His international work included learning the legal foundations and military positions of more than nine Latin American countries and their respective governments.

Markus provided counsel to all levels of U.S. military command and U.S. government agencies, which included drafting and negotiating inter-agency agreements and procedures. He was sought out for legal analysis on operational law, which was concurred by the highest levels of government.

With a military career spanning two decades, Markus served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers for five years and as a reserve officer for 15 years.

Notable Representation

Through his work, Markus developed an impressive ability to analyze intricate issues and offer crucial counsel to all his clients, including high-level government officials. Some of his notable positions include operational law attorney for Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), and chief of justice in the 81st Readiness Division. As a civil trial attorney, Mr. Kamberger was on the trial team that secured over a $100 million verdict for a catastrophically injured client.

Markus has been involved with complex litigations stemming from the Takata MDL to the 3M Earplug MDL. Further, he has confidentially settled numerous trucking personal injury cases aggregating to multiple millions of dollars for his clients
