Tim Longest is a Senior Associate with Bryson Harris Suciu DeMay.
Tim is focused on class actions, appellate advocacy, and complex civil litigation. Tim’s practice has included consumer protection and antitrust cases in federal and state courts.
Since he was first elected in 2022 as one of the youngest state representatives in North Carolina, Tim has represented central Raleigh in the North Carolina General Assembly.
Before entering private practice, Tim clerked on both the North Carolina Supreme Court for Senior Associate Justice Robin Hudson on the North Carolina Court of Appeals for Chief Judge Linda McGee. He also serves on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Appellate Rules Committee.
Tim’s legal experience has equipped him to provide sound legal counsel and successfully navigate complex cases involving difficult issues at trial and on appeal through strong written and oral advocacy.
Education
Tim is a double Tarheel. In 2013, Tim received a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2018, Tim received a J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served on the North Carolina Law Review.
Upon graduation, Tim was inducted into the Order of the Golden Fleece, UNC’s oldest and highest honorary society.
